A new CFL reduces mercury hazard

Clear-Lite Holdings, Inc. has recently released a very interesting product that may solve the broken bulb problems that many homes and businesses run into. Their new ArmorLite CFL has a safety coating that makes accidental breakage much more difficult, lessening the likelihood of mercury exposure if a bulb is broken.

While this self-described "safer CFL" might keep mercury out of the air if a bulb is broken, there is still mercury inside the bulb, which means that it does need to be recycled. And I happen to know someone that can help you with that (warning- shameless plug!)...
